To begin, you will need to download 2 apps, Spectro by Variable and MPC Color Tool

The App is free, use your Sign-Express email and create a password.


In the Spectro app, follow the directions to connect the device. If it asks you to calibrate, use the color tiles to calibrate the tool. Then, place the tool over the sample color you wish to match and tap Scan Now. 
The app will provide several matched colors, including Sherwin Williams and Pantone (we have a Pantone match subscription). Save the closest Pantone match to a new folder with the SE number of your job. Anyone who logs in on any device will be able to see this folder now. 

Using the MPC Color Tool App, log in and go to the Cross Reference tab. Tap PMS and enter the name of that Pantone color match the Spectro 1 Tool gave you. This will give you the closest available Matthews Paint code. 
If the Pantone color cannot pull a MP code, try using the closest Sherwin Williams match from the tool. 

On Spectro, enter the MP code you acquired from the MPC app into the description of the folder for your job.
